Our Trainee Pledge
We value all our employees and invest in the development of legal talent. As a trainee with EMG Solicitors you will be given the opportunity to train in four different seats each for a period of 6 months. During this time, you will have client contact from the start, you will have a designated mentor within the firm and we will ensure you have the appropriate technical training as well as the opportunity to attend some of the off job training we offer.

Your training contract with EMG Solicitors will offer you a range of opportunities to immerse yourself in a progressive and growing legal firm.
You will have the opportunity to work and train alongside highly proficient and experienced legal professionals within an open and friendly environment which prides itself on team work.
As well as developing your legal skills you will also receive technical and administrative training and support.

Our graduate recruitment process
We advertise our training contracts through April and May with a view to recruiting trainees who are in their second, third or final year of study but our applications are also open to those who have already graduated.
Applications should be made through CV and covering letter, once the application deadline has passed we will then move onto the screening process. At this point all applicants will hear back from us regardless of whether or not they have been successful, applicants who have been successful will be invited to the first stage of the recruitment process which will be an assessment day.
Following the assessment day the final stage of the recruitment process will be a final interview with a member of the Senior Management Team, after this successful candidates will be offered a training contract and will be invited to discuss the program and meet other members of the team. Candidates who have not been successful will be contacted and given feedback on their applications, should this be requested.
Successful candidates will be contacted by the People & Culture Team on a regular basis to ensure we keep you engaged with the business throughout the duration of your university studies. You may also be invited to firm events throughout the year where appropriate.
