Janine’s status as a notary is recognised by virtue of her signature and seal.  Legalisation is the process whereby her signature and seal are further verified by an independent authority. Many countries require the apostille, which is a certification of such confirmation by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Some countries also require legalisation by their own consulate or embassy in England.
