I joined EMG in December 2018 into their market leading Court of Protection team as a paralegal. Originally coming from Yorkshire, I graduated in 2017 having undertaken my LL.B, LL.M and Legal Practice Course at the University of Sunderland. My background was in commercial law having written my LL.M thesis on the protections afforded to start-up businesses. After University, I trained at a top-tier specialist pensions firm in Newcastle.
I have always enjoyed public speaking and interacting with people and during my studies, I competed nationally in mooting and speed mooting competitions. I was also chosen to give the Vote of Thanks speech at my graduation. I strongly believe that building a relationship and communicating with a client are essential parts of providing a top quality service. I look to continue EMG’s excellent reputation by having the empathy to understand a client’s situation and the confidence to advise a number of pragmatic solutions in their best interests.
I am responsible for assisting fee earners with the day to day management of their caseload and I hope to qualify as a solicitor in the future.
