Ursula CollieConsultant Solicitor
I qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and spent my early years after qualification at Darbys Solicitors in Oxford, first as an assistant solicitor and then a salaried partner. I moved to the North-East in 1996 and joined BHP Law to develop what was then their new civil litigation team.
I became a salaried partner at BHP in 1998 and remained there for many years, becoming Head of Civil Litigation and the firm’s registered complaints and claims handler. In 2012 I took on a Consultant role at BHP. I also qualified as a CEDR accredited mediator in 2012. I am a Registered Contentious Trust and Probate Specialist and a member of ACTAPS.
I am now a Consultant at EMG Solicitors. I specialise in probate, trusts and land disputes, which so often can cause problems within families. I provide advice on disputed wills and inheritances, and conflict over land (where the problem may be about joint ownership, boundaries, tenancies, or rights over land).
I will work with you to find the way of resolving your dispute which is right for you, from negotiation and mediation to full-blown court action.
Ursula qualified in October 1991.
