  • Key duties: 
    • Undertake fee earning work and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the department
    • Contribute to the successful development of the department and of the firm in line with the business plan
    • Ensure that clients’ needs are met as soon as possible and deal with any issues that arise for them

  • Financial control and in particular:
    1. Technical advice
    2. Client Service
    3. User-friendly language
  • Participation in business development and marketing activities whether on a firm-wide, departmental and/or office basis
  • Dealing with client enquiries and needs identified by them. Attending meetings and conference calls where necessary
  • Monthly administrative tasks such as file reviews, occasionally reconciling bank statements and monitoring bank accounts.
  • Liaising with other professionals such as architects, tradesman, case managers and therapists to ensure all client needs are met.
  • Liaising with others such as family members and friends to ensure all client needs are met.
  • Checking all invoices and either querying the same, or approving same for administrator to pay
  • Litigation support to the external PI solicitors as required including the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Financial control and in particular:
    1. Record time accurately and in line with chargeable and non-chargeable time targets
    2. Raising monthly bills and matter management to the team leader/practice manager
    3. Occasionally you may be required to make payments to the client/s and control of invoices raised by therapists, case managers etc.
